2022/23 Annual Event – Ferry Vintage

The Hall Management Unit will organize our annual event – FERRY VINTAGE on 5 March 2023 (Sunday). The event will be taken place outside the Shue Yan Hall and meet up at the Central Pier, then set off for a sea tour in Victoria Harbour in an iconic Star Ferry!

The once-in-a-U-life event brings you fantastic experiences including elements of photography, geography, fashion, and music through themed games, vintage party, photo competition, and a lucky draw during the trip! Besides, the 2-hour sea tour allows you to enjoy the beautiful view on both sides of Victoria Harbour. Last but not least, it is our honor to have Hong Kong singer Alfred Hui as the guest for a live music performance at Star Ferry!

To share the joyful moment, the sea tour is also welcoming non-resident SYU students for experiencing precious moments with their peers. A limited quota for SYU students who are not currently hall residents has been reserved on an a-first-come-first-served basis. Each hall resident could submit his/ her online application together with ONE non-resident SYU student.

本部特意邀請部分交流生出席，將與參加者有一個輕鬆的對話時間。當中會有煮食環節，交流生及參加者可選擇分組烹調簡易家鄉特色小食，或帶備屬於自己的療癒食物(如零食)，與其他參加者一同分享當中原因或故事。

The event aims to create a platform for residents with multi-national backgrounds to cook and share their stories. Some exchange students will be invited and all the participants will have a relaxing dialogue in a cozy atmosphere. Besides, there will be a cooking session. Exchange students and other participants can choose to cook simple homemade food in groups, or to bring their comfort food (e.g. snacks) to share with others.
