Electrical Appliances Safety
有關：電器及使用安全事宜
In order to prevent fire accidents, electrical appliances violates electrical safety standards should not be used at hall. Misuse of electrical appliances or rechargeable products could cause severe human and property damages. For safety, residents please pay attention to the following advices:
由不符合安全規格的電器，和不當使用電器和充電產品而引致的火災時有發生，造成人命傷亡及財物損失。為確保安全，請各宿生及住戶注意下列安全事項：
- Select electrical appliances with good quality from good reputation shops
選擇有良好商譽的店舖和產品 - Don’t attempt self-alterations on electrical appliances
切勿擅自改動產品或改變其用途 - If the electrical appliances are found overheating, strange odor, sparkles or electricity leakage, please turn off, unplug and stop using immediately under safe condition
若產品出現高熱、異味、火花、冒煙或漏電等情況，在安全情況下，立即關閉電器及將插頭從插座拔除，並停止使用該件電器 - Don’t use high consumption electrical appliances in hall rooms
切勿在宿舍內使用高耗電量電器 - Don’t overload power socket or plug extension (one appliance, one socket is recommended)
切勿在同一電源接上多件電器或排插 - Place electrical appliances and plug extensions safely – don’t get close to water, window and combustible items (such as cotton clothings)
妥善放置電器/排插 – 遠離水氣、窗邊及易燃物(如衣物等棉布類物件) - Make sure electric appliances get proper ventilation. Don’t cover or place the any items next to appliances to prevent overheat. 請確保電器的周邊有足夠的散熱空間。切勿使用任何物件覆蓋電器或在旁邊堆放雜物，以避免電器因過熱而發生火警。
- All electrical appliances must install with 3 leg plugs comply with safety requirements. For electrical appliances with 2 leg plugs, please meet safety standards (BS4573 or EN50075).
所有電器必須裝有符合安全規格的三腳插頭。若需使用兩腳插頭的電器，請選擇符合安全標準(BS4573 或 EN50075)之電器。 - Short 若電器接連造成「短路」，請暫停使用該件電器，及儘快報告學生事務處宿舍組以安排電路檢查
- 遇有疑問，應立即停止使用該件產品，儘快尋求專業協助
