Security Service

  • Security guards are available 24 hours in the Residence Halls. For security and management purposes, public areas of the Residence Halls are equipped with CCTV systems. The systems are operated under the University\u2019s rules and regulations, the recordings are handled confidentially and are not to be disclosed without the approval of at least two members of the Management Committee which composed of senior University management personnel.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Safety and security of the Residence Halls is a shared responsibility between residents and users of the hall buildings, residents are advised to be aware of the followings:<\/span>\n
      \n
    • Ensure the room door is properly locked when you are out or in bed<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Large amount of cash or valuable items shall not be kept in the Residence Halls.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Ensure the shared-toiler door is properly closed (excluding R&A 21\/F and 22\/F)<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Always inform security guards on duty when you discover any suspicious personnel in the Residence Hall areas (Tel.: R&A 2806 5117 \/ RC 2804 8566)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • \u5bbf\u820d\u8a2d\u4fdd\u5b89\u4eba\u54e124\u5c0f\u6642\u7576\u503c\u3002\u57fa\u65bc\u4fdd\u5b89\u53ca\u5bbf\u820d\u7ba1\u7406\u539f\u56e0\uff0c\u5bbf\u820d\u7bc4\u570d\u5167\u4e4b\u516c\u5171\u5730\u65b9\u8a2d\u6709\u4fdd\u5b89\u9589\u8def\u96fb\u8996\u76e3\u5bdf\u7cfb\u7d71\u3002\u8a72\u7cfb\u7d71\u6703\u6309\u5927\u5b78\u6709\u95dc\u4e4b\u6307\u5f15\u64cd\u4f5c\u53ca\u7ba1\u7406\u3002\u53e6\u5916\uff0c\u9304\u5f71\u7247\u6bb5\u53ea\u4f5c\u5b58\u6a94\u7528\u9014\u3002\u7576\u6709\u9700\u8981\u7ffb\u67e5\u7d00\u9304\u6642\uff0c\u76f8\u95dc\u7684\u5de5\u4f5c\u4eba\u54e1\u5fc5\u9808\u5148\u5411\u7531\u5927\u5b78\u7ba1\u7406\u4eba\u54e1\u7d44\u6210\u7684\u59d4\u54e1\u6703\u7533\u8acb\uff0c\u4e26\u7372\u5f97\u5176\u4e2d\u5169\u540d\u59d4\u54e1\u6279\u51c6\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u7ffb\u67e5\u7d00\u9304\u3002<\/span><\/li>\n

Cleaning Service
\n\u6e05\u6f54\u670d\u52d9<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n		\n

  • Communal Areas: Cleaners are responsible for cleaning communal areas of the Residence Halls including the washrooms, pantries, elevators, corridors, common areas, common rooms and study rooms. <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Residents\u2019 Rooms: Residents are responsible for the hygiene of their room. Cleaning accessories such as broom, mop and water bucket are available for residents\u2019 use in the washroom and common room of each floor (excluding R&A 21\/F and 22\/F).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • R&A 21\/F and 22\/F: residents are responsible for cleaning the toilet and shower stall. When necessary, HMU will arrange staff to enter the room and clean up the toilet and shower stall. Residents shall not obstruct the cleaning staff or HMU staff members in the execution of their duty. Moreover, the cost incurred will be on the residents.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • \u516c\u7528\u5730\u65b9\uff1a\u7531\u5bbf\u820d\u6e05\u6f54\u54e1\u5de5\u8ca0\u8cac\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u5171\u7528\u6d74\u5ba4\u53ca\u6d17\u624b\u9593\u3001\u8336\u6c34\u9593\u3001\u5347\u964d\u6a5f\u3001\u8d70\u5eca\u3001\u5171\u4eab\u7a7a\u9593\u3001\u4f11\u606f\u5ba4\u53ca\u81ea\u4fee\u5ba4\u3002<\/span><\/li>\n

  • \u5bbf\u820d\u6587\u5eb7\u5927\u6a1321\u6a13\u53ca22\u6a13\uff1a\u5bbf\u751f\u9700\u81ea\u884c\u6e05\u6f54\u6d17\u624b\u9593\u53ca\u6d74\u5ba4\uff0c\u4ee4\u6d17\u624b\u9593\u53ca\u6d74\u5ba4\u4fdd\u6301\u885b\u751f\u3002\u5018\u82e5\u6d17\u624b\u9593\u53ca\u6d74\u5ba4\u7684\u4fdd\u990a\u548c\u885b\u751f\u60c5\u6cc1\u6b20\u4f73\uff0c\u5bbf\u820d\u7ba1\u7406\u90e8\u6703\u5b89\u6392\u8077\u54e1\u5230\u623f\u9593\u9032\u884c\u6e05\u6f54\u5de5\u4f5c\u3002\u6240\u9700\u958b\u652f\u7531\u5bbf\u751f\u652f\u4ed8\u3002\u5bbf\u751f\u5fc5\u9700\u914d\u5408\u3002<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Postal Service

  • Mailboxes are located on G\/F (RC) and LG1 (R & A). Residents shall clear their mailbox on a regular basis.  <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Large and bulky mails received will be stored at the HMU Office, residents can pick up their mail at the HMU Office upon receipt of the mail pick-up notification slip or email.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • HMU <\/span>will not<\/u><\/strong> receive any mail or parcel delivered by courier on behalf of the resident.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Mail without proper mailing addresses will be returned to the sender or Hong Kong Post.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • All mails will be discarded in a month\u2019s time after receipt or after the semester ends (whichever is shorter); HMU or the University will not be responsible for any loss.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • \u6536\u4ef6\u4fe1\u7bb1\u4f4d\u65bc G\/F (\u7814\u7a76\u9662\u7d9c\u5408\u5927\u6a13)\u53caLG 1 (\u5bbf\u820d\u6587\u5eb7\u5927\u6a13) \uff0c\u5bbf\u751f\u61c9\u5b9a\u6642\u6e05\u7406\u4fe1\u7bb1\u5167\u7684\u90f5\u4ef6\u3002<\/span><\/li>\n

  • Residents can add value to their student ID card at the HMU Office during office hours.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • HMU accepts Octopus payment only.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • HMU Office is closed on Saturday, Sunday, public holidays and University holidays. Residents shall ensure there is enough value in their student ID card for use during the holidays. Balance in the card can be refunded during check-out.<\/span><\/li>\n

Entering Residential Hall Without Student ID
\n\u5fd8\u8a18<\/u>\u651c\u5e36<\/u>\u6216\u907a\u5931\u5b78\u751f\u8b49\u6642\u4e4b\u9032\u51fa\u5b89\u6392<\/u><\/u> <\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/td>\n		If a resident forgets to bring his\/her student ID card, he\/she can ask the security guards on duty at the lobby of the Residence Halls for assistance. If the resident has lost his\/ her student ID, please proceed to the Information Counter at the Academic Building for card reissue. A temporary residence card will be prepared for you by HMU upon showing the receipt for student ID reissue. A refundable deposit of HK$50 will be charged for the temporary residence card.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Large Items: For a large amount of garbage or large items, residents shall discard them to the garbage chamber located on G\/F of the Residence Halls.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Others: Residents shall ensure that sharp items or items with odor are properly wrapped before disposal.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • \u5c0f\u578b\u5ee2\u7269\uff1a\u5bbf\u751f\u61c9\u628a\u4e00\u822c\u5ee2\u7269\u7f6e\u65bc\u6a13\u5c64\u7684\u6536\u96c6\u7bb1\u5167\u3002<\/span><\/li>\n
